They were looking to get an understanding of the operational costs, the level of automation as well as typical raw material costs. They were hoping to conduct this analysis across different types of cakes and further expand it to other kinds of desserts.

The profiles were screened against their ability to discuss the specific topics. The client conducted 15 interviews that enabled them to take informed strategic decisions which drastically improved their commercial relationships with the cake suppliers.
